Water Rate Increases To Be Explored

Prince George City Council will receive a recommendation for an increase in water rates at their meeting tonight.
City officials propose that residential water rates for single family dwellings be increased from $192.72 dollars year to $202.36 an increase of 5% or $9.64 cents.
Commercial rates would rise by 4% under the recommendation.
No increase for sewer service in the city is proposed.

Heat up the downtown, and revitalize it--at any cost.
The taxpayers in Prince George have lots of money.Just get it out of them!!!!
Open up that gaming centre. Get a percentage of that also.
That is like voluntary taxation.
The idiots give their money willingly.
Increase land and property taxes. Have to cover that debt load somehow, so get some closed meetings on the agenda to determine just what that good old mill rate will be increased by for 2006.
George, you are the accountant for this one, and if you figure on borrowing more, go for it now, before assessments can be determined!!!!
