The Prince George Cougars have dropped their second playoff game against the Vancouver Giants.

The Cougars scored with just over a minute left in the game to break Vancouver’s  shut out as they went down to a  9-1 defeat at the hands of Giants.

The Giants lead the series two games to none.

I wonder how long it will be before Brodsky tries to pack up the Cougars to go somewhere else? Brodsky is an idiot and needs to hire a manager and a coach, AND LEAVE THEM ALONE TO DO THEIR JOBS!!
Then he needs to go on holidays in a Tibetan temple somewhere far far away. But he can't have someone else showing him up as a buffoon of mammoth proportions can he?
This series underscores the serious flaw in the WHL's playoff allowances. There is no way in hell a pathetic team like the Cougars, with a sub-400 winning percentage in the regular season, should even qualify for playoffs. But instead the league allows about 75% of the total teams into the playoffs. If they want fans to get excited about the regular season then it should count for something.

I understand the "developmental" and "revenue" arguments about allowing so many teams to make the playoffs...but what about the argument that this format could literally be destroying the psyches of so many potentially quality young players? How many kids at 17 are going to want to lose four straight games by a combined goal total of 50-5 and still feel good about heading into their next season?

Cougars are a joke and should not be in the same playoff series as the Giants.
Its a pretty sad state of affairs. People will come to the two playoff games not to see the Cougers play, (Whats to see) but to see the Vancouver Giants play, because they are such a good team.

ouch!

The cougars have some good talent in, Connolly, Viedensky, Armstrong, but they cannot rely on them to carry this team.
Its a tough task taking on the Giants with good coaching, scouting, and Management.
Because of these three reasons they have a strong team.

Hopefully Brodsky sells the team one day so I can ethicly buy season tickets again.
Scouting is a huge void for the Cougars.
Scouting 14 yr olds is one thing but most of the other WHL clubs also heavily scout the AJHL, BCHL and WHL....for trades, advance scouting etc.
I live in EDM and scout......I have attended over 125 WHL & AJHL games so far this season and have yet to see a Cougars scout at any game. (many venues require scouts to sign in...I see the list)
I am tripping over scouts from the Giants, Blazers, TC Americans,Pats, Ice, MJ, Hitmen, Seattle, SC, Tips....
