Prince George, BC. – The Province will be handing over a cheque for a little more than $1.3 million to the City of Prince George for a share in traffic fine revenue.
The dollars are to be used to enhance policing and community-based public safety programs.
The traffic fine revenue sharing program assists municipalities that directly pay police enforcement costs. The grants come from ticket fines and court-imposed fines on violation tickets.
The amount of money a municipality receives is based on its contribution to total municipal policing costs.

* Prince George - $1,360,445
* Dawson Creek - $217,407
