Prince George, B.C.- The three MLA’s for the Prince George area have a busy day ahead of them with photo ops and announcements.
It starts at  9 this morning with an event in the Hart with a couple of the B.C. Lions. Then its off to College Heights for a joint announcement with the Federal government at  the most dangerous intersection in Prince George.
The MLAS will then head to the YMCA for an Olympic event with the mascots and a couple of Olympians, meantime, Federal M.P. Jay Hill will be making an announcement at the Airport.
The announcements come hot off the heals of   two weekend events which saw the Province commit to a radiology program at CNC, and put $2.5 million into extra security for one of the Courtrooms at the Prince George Court house.

I hope it rains on them
But while the premier is neglecting hard working British Columbians he is rewarding friends in his inner circle.
Gordon Campbell gave himself a hefty 54 percent raise in 2007, and under his watch, CEO's of crown corporations have seen their compensation skyrocket by as much as 166 per cent.
Gordon Campbell gave his deputy ministers a hefty pay raise in 2001 and another in 2006 - this time promising not to do it again for four more years. Then the premier broke his promise two years later, giving his deputy ministers another raise and opening the door for an increase of up to 43 per cent in 2008.
In February 2008, the public learned that Campbell's TransLink board voted themselves a 500 percent pay raise. Only a few weeks later, the premier's BC Ferries directors received an increase of up to 60 percent -- on April 1, 2008 - the same day ferry fares were increased for British Columbians.
In 2008, more than 50,000 British Columbians worked for minimum wage or less.
Since 2001, Campbell has raised the salaries of deputy ministers three times. If Campbell had raised the minimum wage at the same rate of increase as his deputy ministers' salaries, the minimum wage would now be $12.20 per hour.
The Carbon Tax should cover all those pay raises and make us all get 'Green' (around the gills) at the same time! Gordo is just looking after his best interests....I mean our best intersts. Right?
And the non-Liberals running in the election, what are they doing? Or is that not news?
I suppose they could go and stand at an intersection and proclaim that if they are voted into power they will spend $10 million to improve an intersection .... or stand at the new weigh scales and proclaim that if they are voted in they will build a bridge accross the Fraser and create a bypass there to connect 97 south with 16 west .... and then stand downtown and proclaim they would provide the $8 million to build a public market if the City provided the property .... and then stand at the jail and proclaim they would start a public work program which will provide an average of 6 working hours per prisoner 5 days a week at no cost to the City to be used for labour intensive projects to assist with outside maintenance.

That will provide the City with a cost avoidance of some $10 million based on 200 prisoners.
As far as what they are doing now? Is that news? I suppose one can make news out of doing nothing.

Ah, the all important photo-op. Will there be babies to kiss?
metalman.
Anything to have your face in the media - these three will do it.
On the Hart with a couple of BC Lions - snow removal project?? / pothole solution ?? - then off to the Olympics - most seniors can barely survive let alone talk about the Olympics.
It sounds like a pretty busy day, sure would like to know what is done on a slow day. I think alot of people would just like to have a job to go to, here in this "Best Place on Earth" province.
