Prince George – Police say a box of dynamite, found by a local resident while 4-wheeling in the South Blackburn Rd area, has been destroyed by members of the disposal unit of the RCMP E- division.
They were called in, after a resident reported what he thought was a box of dynamite in a field near the road.
He called police, who confirmed it was, and the special unit was called in. As a precaution the area was cordoned off last night.
Police says they are investigating the dynamite to try and determine where it came from.
Last year a large quantity of Dynamite was stolen in the Chetwynd area, it has not been recovered.
