I have never really liked this actor and I now know why after what he said about Canadians. Americans like him and Keith Urban should not be allowed into Canada. I know that is silly but if you do not like us enough to blab on camera then DONT COME. :)
Funny cartoon. What did Keith Urban do?
With tongue in cheek: who are these guys anyway? More of the same self important 'celebrity' types that I love to despise. Who needs 'em anyway?
metalman.
The best comment about him or this issue:
" "
Bye bye Billy Bob!
When Billy Bob is on tour they have a separate semi-tailer to carry his ego!
As the story goes....
The Americans were just heading off to Afghanistan and Canada had not yet committed to the cause. Keith Urban was holding a concert in Seattle. Just before he started the first set he had all the Canadians at the concert stand up. He then said told them to leave. He added that he did not want traitors or anyone who was not ready to back his country in war.

I can not remember his exact words though so if anyone else remembers this, please correct me if I am wrong.

Urban legend. Keith Urban did in fact ask all Canadians to stand up or give a shout and then greeted them by thanking them for coming out. It was at a show in Minot, North Dakota in 2006.
It's unfortunate when people pass off urban legends as truth. They should do at least some research before spreading these stories.

Oh my! I am very sorry. It was a few years ago and NO I do not research everything I hear or read. I am sure that the urban legend news did not come out until after I heard about it. Like I SAID "As the story goes....". Thank you for clearing this up for me and adding the link. I apologise.
The postings are an example of why Ben and Elaine get annoyed at people who make statements that are not true and then try and defend them as being true. I can easily see why they become so frustrated
Keith Urban did not say any such thing at the North Dakota State Fair, everyone in attendance said he asked Canadians to stand up and then thanked them, given that the border with Canada is so close.
Keith Urban was born in New Zealand, not the USA.
Ok first of all I did not DEFEND anything as true ...as a matter of FACT I asked to be corrected if I was wrong. I apologised and said thank you for setting me straight. I am sure Ben and Elaine would see this as fairly inocent as it WAS. But go ahead, keep on the attack if thats what you need.
Dont sweat it shell shadow. The commenters above need to relax. I did correct you above but those two are correcting you and blasting you as if you were some sort of idiot. Learn to read TMOLNAR and RUEZ, SS did ask to be corrected if wrong. Thats all you needed to do.
As the story goes...
Vocer and shellshadow, like little boys,” I can’t remember the exact words though, so if anyone remembers this, please correct me if I’m wrong”
That is the exact quote, now correct me if I’m wrong and I’ll apologize if what I have heard is not true. That is how rumours of no fact get started. What about the people who only read down to the first post and then went off to work, what they are saying at the water cooler.
Fact no fiction, if you are commenting.
Who says were "little boys". Again you just needed to correct SS. You did not need to accuse him/her as being a nasty rumour mill starter. Where's the love??? Does everything have to end with people being ignorant. (I know you didnt say SS was ignorant but something could be read into that)
Now the name calling and the abuse starts. All over a stupid legend. I think someone needs to take their meds. Thank you vocer for the help and concern. I meant no harm.
What Keith Urban or Billy Bob said hardly rates as important in the grand scheme of things. Who cares????

We seem to forget that Pierre Trudeau gave the finger to some people in Salmon Arm, and on another occasion referred to a group of people as a **bunch of hot dog eaters** Not exactly behaviour befitting a Prime Minister.

Some peoples skin is just too thin.

Actually Trudeau referred to Premier of Quebec Robert Boroussa as a **Hot Dog Eater** not a group of people as I said above. So I made a mistake, but guess what??? Im not going to apoligize.
Hey vocer, Learn to read? It's my ability to read that allowed me to correct the poster. I don't hold it against that person, I just think it would do them some good to research these stories. So no need to make this personal. The fact that Shellshadow apologized shows me that he/she is a decent person. Never the less spreading these stories without some research can be harmful. I'll make you a deal, if I learn to read will you learn to have some civility?
Actually, I am pretty sure that Toby Keith is the Canadian hater, not Keith Urban.
I think your right red2b.
I think your right red2b
Or, maybe it was an URBAN legend.
I am confused at the lack of respect to a person just because he/she did not know that a story out of crappywood was an urban legend. The fact is the other actor BBT did insult Canadians! In a year BBT team of people will probably fix it so what he said becomes a urban legend as well. What difference does it make to any of you that Keith Urban did or did not say squat unless you are a relative. The fact that such an attack towards one person for such a trivial matter took place on here is bothersome. This person even apologised! Unless you are the owner of this site, you should refrain from such abuse. This person in my opinion did nothing wrong.

It seems to me that some of you are only on here to ruin a good thing. Try to be nice! Mistakes are a human trate and so is forgiveness.
shellshadow - Thanks for your mature response to an unworthy attack, it was refreshing.
As for Billie Bob, does anyone really care?
Bubble wrap is more entertaining BBT.

Quit whining. The only reason anyone outside TO is even aware of this is because of all the typical Canadian snivelling.
An absolute non-event.
