Prince George- Police say a 21 year old man who is charged in connection with an assault on a 26 year old woman in Prophet River is not the same man who was sentenced to two years less a day on March 11th in connection with a drug bust that took place last summer.
On August 6th in Quesnel,  two kilograms of cocaine, a large amount of cash and a loaded hand gun were seized from a man bearing the same first and last name of the accused in the Prophet River case. Aaron Ruel Evans was charged and convicted.
The man arrested in Prophet River facing charges of aggravated assault, attempted sexual assault and breach of probation is Aaron Dave Evans, listed as 21 years old. He was arrested in that tiny community after a 26 year old woman had been beaten and cologne poured on her and was lit on fire on April 11th . She suffered first and second degree burns. That Evans is scheduled to be transferred to Prince George to face charges.
Aaron Ruel Evans sentenced in Quesnel to two years less a day on the drug and weapon charge  is being transferred to Kamloops to serve his sentence.
