Prince George, B.C.- The B.C. Coroner's Service has issued a request for information that would help them identify the remains of a man found about a year ago.

Together with Abbotsford Police, the BC Coroners Service a is hoping someone will be able to give them some information to help them  identify this man.  The remains were discovered on a Sumas Mountain park trail in April of last year.  It is thought he died some weeks before his body was found.

The drawing at right is a forensic reconstruction and is not meant to be an exact likeness.

The man  was likely Caucasian and he was approximately 30 to 40 years old at the time of his death. He had tattoos on the back of both shoulders, and possibly elsewhere. The ring finger and small finger of the right hand were slightly deformed and this may have been noticeable. His nose was very evidently asymmetrical.

At the time of his death he was wearing size 33/36 blue jeans with brown leather woven belt, a large v-neck grey sweater, and size 11 'Columbia' sandals. He also wore 'Guess' designer brand wire frame prescription glasses.

If you have any information regarding the identity of this male, please contact the BC Coroners Service identification tip line at 1-877-660-5077, the Abbotsford Police at 604 859-5225 or CRIME STOPPERS at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
