Is H1N1 The Real Thing?

Is the H1N1 (swine flu) getting all the attention across the Nation because, the health authorities are doing a dry run on what a real pandemic  would play out like , or is the swine flu starting to get a foot hold around some countries , the real deal?

If you think that 15,000 Americans die every year from flu in the USA, and a further 2,000 to 3,000 die in Canada, why this amount of attention would suddenly be given to a flu that so far has not resulted in any deaths in Canada?

Every day we have been getting a media conference from the health authorities all across Canada telling us what we should be doing and pointing out what has been happening. For example the federal health authorities are saying keep the face masks off because they don’t work while on the other hand we have other health officials saying put the mask on.

In the end we are going to see over the next few weeks just how severe this new flu is going to be in Canada.

Given that the flu season normally dies off in the summer months in Canada, can we look forward to short run and then an end to the problem or are we about to hear throughout the summer that, we should be watching very closely for the next wave?

 Stay Tuned.

I'm Meisner and that's one man's opinion.
