Cache Creek, B.C.- Highway 97 has been reopened between Highway 1 in Cache Creek and Highway 24 , however, delays of 20 minutes or more can be expected.
The delays are because of a forest fire near 70 Mile House, which saw 60 homes evacuated. Residents have gone to the community centre in Clinton until they are allowed to return to their homes.
The cause of the fire is believed to be human, and while no one has been hurt, the flames did destroy at least one building.
