1 case in Interior Health,

Nationwide, there are 101 cases across the country.
The Public Health Agency of Canada has released guidelines regarding the H1N1 flu virus for schools and daycare centres and for those caring for the sick at home.
Given the mild nature of the illness experienced by those affected by H1N1 flu virus in Canada, the interim guidelines do not recommend the closure of schools and day care centres at this time. This recommendation applies to all facilities even if a confirmed case of H1N1 flu virus is identified.
"Right now, we don't consider school closures to be necessary ," said Dr. Butler-Jones, the Chief Public Health Officer for Canada, "What is important, is for schools and daycares to be promoting good infection prevention measures - like simple hand washing."
