Three Cases of H1N1 in Decker Lake

Prince George, B.C.- Northern Health is confirming three cases of H1N1 flu in Decker Lake.
All three cases new are among children. The Decker Lake elementary school closed early on Friday because of suspicions one or more students had flu like symptoms.
This brings to 4 the confirmed cases of H1N1 flu in the Northern Health region.
All cases are said to be mild and the people with it have either recovered, or are recovering. Chief Medical Health Officer for Northern Health, Dr. David Bowering, says he expects there are many more cases of this flu in the region, but only some patients are “swabbed” and their samples sent for confirmation.
The Decker Lake confirmations bring to 4 the number of known cases of H1N1 in Northern Health.
