Prince George, B.C.-  The man who died in a crash on the Old Cariboo highway early Saturday morning has been identified as 37 year old Patrick William Moshenko of Prince George.

Patrick Moshenko was driving the vehicle that went off the highway rolling at least 1 ½ times before coming to rest in a ditch, he was not wearing his seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger (who was also the registered owner of the Chevy Cavalier) survived the crash and was able to reach a nearby residence where he called for emergency help.

Once completed, police are confident they will be able to provide the contributing factors in this collision.

Preliminary investigation indicates alcohol may have been a contributing factor in this crash.
