No New H1N1 Cases In B.C.

VICTORIA – There have been no new cases of H1N1 confirmed in B.C. in the past 24 hours. The number of confirmed cases remains at 54 but  more confirmed cases are expected in the days and weeks ahead.
 
There are 9 confirmed cases of H1N1 in the Northern Health region. Most of those cases involve students at Decker Lake elementary school which was closed ast Friday when three swabs came back positive for H1N1.
 
A decision on reopening the school is scheduled   for Friday.

Perhaps they are not receiving any more confirmed cases because they are not testing for it unless you specifically tell them you might have it. As in" oh by the way i just got back from mexico". One of my kids went to the doctor AND emergency with a prolonged fever, cough, etc. they said: oh wait for a few days and if it doesnt go away we will test for an infection". At the hospital, they said,
" oh if his dad is sick too then the baby just caught a virus....." Kind of hard to spot the swine flu that way dont you think? (not that i am saying i have swine flu of course.....
