Prince George, B.C. - Friends and family of inmates at the Prince George Regional Corrections Centre are still waiting to hear when they will be able to resume visiting at the PGRCC.
All visiting has been put on hold while the jail deals with two confirmed cases of H1N1 flu.
The two inmates who are confirmed to have that strain of flu continue to be isolated from the others at the centre, however, several other inmates have shown flu like symptoms. The results of the lab tests on those inmates have not yet confirmed if the others are also suffering with H1N1.
As of Friday, there were 19 confirmed cases of H1N1 in the Northern Health region. The Provincial Government’s web site detailing the latest information on the swine flu has not been updated since Friday at noon.
