3 Month Forecast Says Warmer and Drier than Normal Summer

Environment Canada three month forecast calls for warmer than normal temps in red zones
Prince George, B.C.- There were numerous temperature records broken in B.C.communities yesterday, but Prince George was not one of them. The high yesterday in Prince George was 26 and today is expected to hit 27. The record for today is 30 degrees set in 1989.
There were new record highs set in 18 communities yesterday:
- Prince Rupert 24.7
- Terrace 29.7
- Dease Lake 28.4
- Clinton 26.6,
- Sparwood (25.3),
- Chilliwack 34.4
- Lyttton35.8
- Lillooet 35.7
- Squamish 34.4,
- White Rock 26.8
- Victoria 31.3
- Agassiz 33
- Pitt Meadows 32.2
- Port Alberni 32.9
- Comox 32,
- Port Hardy 27.2,
- Bella Coola 31.6
The good news for Prince George is, that as cool and damp as May was, June is predicted to be warmer than normal. In fact, the three month prediction indicates there is a 50-60 % probability of warmer than normal temps for Prince George, and a 60-70% probability of less precipitation than normal. The warmer temps won't last through the weekend though, the forecast indicates there is cooler air on the way and the high on Saturday and Sunday will be about 20.
