Prince George, B.C. -  Today marks the 65th anniversary of D-Day and the Battle of Normandy. It was the day the Allies landed on the beaches of Europe (Operation Overlord) which would mark the beginning of the end of the Second World War.
Canada’s Veterans Affairs has produced a special video of veterans of that day who share their vivid and painful memories.  Click here to see the full video.
While there have been  several ceremonies overseas to mark the anniversary,  there is also a  special ceremony  planned  for  today in Prince George.  The ceremony will take place at noon at the Royal Canadian Legion.
