One Injured in McBride Crescent Fire

At right, flames light up the night sky as  fire  ravages a home on McBride Crescent

Prince George- One person was injured in a stubborn fire in a home in the 2300 block of McBride Crescent that took fire fighters several hours to bring  under complete control.

The fire broke out at 8:45 pm Saturday sending the residents fleeing from the structure. Sixteen firefighters from 3 halls responded to the fire which broke out at the rear of the home.

One person was taken to hospital suffering from minor burns and smoke inhalation.

Fire crews at first entered the building, but when safety concerns were raised they fought the blaze from outside of the home.

No cause of the fire is known at this time. Damage is extensive.
