Tyaughton Lake Blaze Grows

Lillooet, B.C. – There are now 250 personnel working on the Tyaughton Lake fire near Lillooet. The fire has grown to 4,000 hectares.
An evacuation order has been issued for Marshall Lake, Liza Lake and Carol Lake and remains in effect for Mud Creek, Tyaughton Lake and Gun Creek Road.

Total personnel working on the fire (including support staff) is 250, including 200 fire fighters, 11 helicopters and 46 pieces of heavy equipment.
Structural protection units have also been brought in to help protect homes in the immediate vicinity of the wildfire. The weather forecast today for the Tyaughton Lake area is mainly sunny with highs in the low to mid twenties.
