Prince George, The Air Quality Advisory issued for Prince George will remain in effect until at least tomorrow morning.

The Ministry of Environment in collaboration with Northern Health, is continuing the Air Quality Advisory for Prince George due to high levels of coarse particulate matter (PM10). Based on the air quality data, the high levels are mainly due to dust with some contribution for combustion emissions (smoke) this morning. Very dry conditions are expected over the region, however, there is a chance of showers or thunderstorms tomorrow afternoon. The 24 hour PM10 rolling average was 53 µg/m3 at the Plaza 400 downtown site at 4:00 pm, 46 µg/m3 at BCR and 22 µg/m3 at College Heights. The 24 hour PM2.5 rolling average was 16 µg/m3 at the Plaza 400 downtown site and 7 µg/m3 at College Heights.

This Air Quality Advisory is expected to be in effect until further notice, with an update to be provided tomorrow morning at 9:30 am.

26 degrees today, must be all those wood stoves....
Mostly fat ass people that can't or won't get out of their cars and ride a bike or walk.
Damn, I was so looking forward to having a nice cozy fire in my wood stove tonight.
Just another day in Pig Gorge, with one lung missing, and only one left to go! And you wonder why I want to get out of this filthy hole! What a s#&*%@!*!!
How ironic, a Cancer Summit and Air Advisory both at the same time.
