B.C. Chief Justice of Supreme Court Hands In Resignation

Prince George, B.C.-  After receiving confirmation from numerous sources, Opinion 250 has learned, B.C. Chief Justice, Donald Brenner has resigned.

Appointed as Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of British Columbia in May of 2000, Donald Brenner had a commitment to improve the efficiency and effectiveness in the Courts. He was also well known among his colleagues for his leadership on Court committees related to Information Technology and Litigation Management.
Brenner received his LLB from UBC in 1970. He was called to the Bars of BC (1971), NWT (1975), Yukon (1977) and Alberta (1978); appointed Queen’s Counsel in 1987, and appointed to the BC Supreme Court in 1992.
His reason for departure was simply stated as "it's time."   The resignation takes effect September 7th.

Don't blame him. \crooks keep getting out on bail only to reoffend.
That's what you do when it's partially your fault - -retire.
The $24 Billion dollar 360 Networks bankruptcy capitalization wipe out (from fraudulent revenue swapping), as well as the BC Rail privatization (from influence peddling)... happened on his watch.

IMO we should have an agency that investigates judicial integrity as it relates to cases before the courts. I believe the BC Courts to be among the most corrupted in North America.

IMO when a court becomes corrupted, so to do its verdicts....
