Defying the odds of winning on the road the Pittsburgh Penguins have won the Stanley Cup. They defeated the Detroit Red Wings at the Red Wings building to capture the cup in a seven game series. The final score was 2-1 for Pittsburgh.

In modern history on two teams had been able to do what the Penguins did and that was to win while on the road.

Isnt that supposed to say In modern history only two teams have been able to do what the Penguins did and that was to win while on the road.

Anyways, they did beat huge odds, and that means they earned it!
Funny how Crosby wins his first Stanley Cup riding the pines... lol. I also thought Zetteburg was not into it and had no spirit... he seemed scared of Malkin.
Wouldn't it be "had", because it's in the past now that the Pens have made it 3?

Or I could be wrong... it's late...
I will never like my (our) Stanley Cup on the land of the Great Satan. Have we no more hockey players here in Canada?
