Prince George, B.C.- The Federal Government is launching an international ad campaign touting the benefits of the   Asia-Pacific Gateway. The ads promote  the reliability and speed with which goods can be moved from Asia to North America using the ports of Vancouver and Prince Rupert.

The ads will also point out the benefits of Canadian airports which have less congestion, and a rail line that can deliver goods to the heart of the U.S.

Beginning June 15, ads will appear featuring the slogan “With Canada’s Pacific Gateway, everything gets there sooner than you think.”

“This is fantastic” says Initiatives Prince George President Tim McEwan ”This is the kind of thing that needs to be done to raise the profile of this transportation corridor.”

The ads will be placed in marine and air shipping trade publications in the United States, Japan, Korea and China, including Journal of Commerce, Logistics Management, Air Cargo World, Payload Asia, China’s Foreign Trade and Maritime Press.

McEwan says it’s great to see the port of Prince Rupert featured in the ads “Any increase in capacity at Prince Rupert will further enhance the capacity in Prince George.”
The ads will appear in publications and as online web banners at intervals over the next 10 months.
