Prince George, B.C. - Residents are being warned of what  appears to be yet another scam in the city.
Police have received six reports thus far of two men who have come to homes with security company signs on  the door. They tell the home owners that the alarm company  they currently have  will be either obsolete soon or that the company is going out of business.  They then offer to take over the business.
The pair, identified as about six feet tall, driving a convertible with Alberta license plates, go to the security box, and in at least one case, cut the wires, then install a bogus panel which is not hooked up. They ask the home owner for a blank unsigned cheque, have the home owner sign a contract and then leave.
Police say they don’t know what the exact motive of the cutting of the panel boxes is, the fact remains that these home have no security service when they leave.

Who needs security services when you can pick up two at the SPCA? A big dog for the yard and a little dog for inside. Works for me.
"So far the only people targeted have been elderly residents of homes with Curtis Elite signs on the doors"

Obviously we are dealing with pure scum. Check that, I don't want to associate scum with the type of people who would prey on the elderly.
Works for me too Harbinger.
A big woof beats any electronic alarms.
It's only Job creation of the bottom feeders. Why is it when these scams happen, no one snaps a pic of the culprits or their lic plate? If I was the victim of these enterpreneurs I would stall them as long as I could while dialing 911 on my cel.
