The NEB will host the third in a series of open houses held across the region in Prince George tonight.

Earlier meetings took place in Kitimat on Monday, and Burns Lake on Wednesday.

The Chair of the National Energy Board, Kenneth Vollman says the open houses are in response to a number of requests received from communities and groups with questions surrounding the recently proposed pipeline projects for the area.

City residents are invited to attend to learn more about the NEB's role, responsibilities and mandate.  And Vollman says with increasing developments in the oil and gas industry across north-central B.C. and Alberta, it's an opportunity for involvement well before the public hearing process for those projects has been defined.

The meeting begins at 6pm at the Civic Centre.  A presentation by NEB staff will be followed by a question-and-answer session.
