Prince George, B.C.-The Prince George Fire Centre has responded to six spot fires over the past week, all of which were caused by humans.
All six fires were less than one hectare in size and are now out or in patrol status.
The Prince George Fire Centre has responded to 115 fires to date, which have burned nearly 25,000 hectares; almost 60% of these have been caused by people.
The forecast calls for a warming and drying trend for the southern half of the fire centre. While past temperatures have been cool and damp, it only takes a few days of dry, warm weather for danger ratings to increase along with the risk for fire starts.
