Fire on Ingledew Street

Prince George, B.C. - A vacant home on Ingledew Street suffered smoke and fire damage early this morning.

Prince George Fire Rescue crews from two halls were called to the home in the 1900 block of Ingledew shortly before 3 a.m.

Firefighters put out flames in the living room area of the house.  The room sustained heavy smoke and fire damage.

No damage estimate is available.

Fire investigators will return to the home today to determine what sparked the fire.

Overnight visitors? A candle left burning? Or, financial combustion? Vacant houses usually don't just start on fire in the living rooms on their own.
The insurance companies won't be liable if the home was vacant for any length of time. If that is the case you can rule out financial combustion.
