The snowfall overnight has, of course, had the anticipated effect on area routes...

Highway crews are out plowing and sanding Highway 97, south of Prince George to Quesnel.  The route does have compact snow.

To the north, crews are out clearing the route to Bear Lake.  From there, the Ministry of Transportation and Higways is advising of some blowing snow with limited visibility.

The same holds true for Highway 16 in both directions, crews are plowing and sanding to the boundary for Fort George, but motorists are being advising of limited visibility due to blowing snow.

For the Ministry's website, Drive BC, click here.  Environment Canada is forecasting another 10-centimetres of snow throughout the day.  The good news:  the temperature will warm to a high of minus 3.
