Police Investigating Homicide

 Quesnel, B.C.- At about 2:00 this afternoon, Quesnel RCMP police were called to a residence where a caucasian male in his forties was found deceased. No one else was found injured. Police immediately arrested one male at the scene who is being held in custody at this time. Charges are pending. Police are treating this investigation as a homicide.

The B.C. Coroner's service and the Quesnel RCMP are being assisted by the North District RCMP Major Crime Unit, Prince George and Williams Lake RCMP Forensic Identification Units and the Quesnel RCMP General Investigation Unit.

The male victim is known to police and it doesn't appear that this was a random act of violence.

The name of the victim is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

Anyone with information regarding this matter is requested to call Crime Stoppers or the Quesnel RCMP Detachment.
