Prince George Bans All Burning In City

Effective immediately, all burning within the City Of Prince George is prohibited until further notice. This includes recreation fires and open burning.

The hot dry weather combined with increasing winds has increased the risk of fire spread. Prince George Fire Rescue service request the cooperation of all citizens with the burning ban to ensure the safety of everyone.

The hot dry spell is expected to last a further week. Temperatures are expected to reach or exceed 30degrees.

What about the regional district? The areas immediately adjacent to the City should be much more at risk.

The notice is for the Prince George Fire Center which includes the regional district too I believe.
Not according to the article above. Read it carefully. Nothing about the District nor the Region.
