Quesnel BC. – In response to an ongoing period of unusually warm and dry summer weather, the City of Quesnel is bringing water restrictions into effect starting this morning.

Watering of lawns, gardens etc. may only take place between 6 a.m. and 10 a.m. or 7 p.m. and 11 p.m.

Odd-numbered street addresses may water on odd calendar dates, while even-numbered addresses may water on even dates. For example, today, July 28, homes that have an address ending with an even number may water during the times listed above.

This restriction is being placed as a precautionary measure to avoid any undue stresses on the City’s water system. As the weather forecast suggests temperatures above 30C with little or no precipitation for the next nine days, it is an appropriate time to put such restrictions into place.
