Prince George- Fire fighters took two and half hours to extinguish a fire that was contained in the hopper and  piping at Pacific Bioenergy Corp on Willow Cale Road last night.

The plant was shut down at the time of the fire, and firemen believe the fire started from residue heat from the plant when it was in operation.

A portion of the plant will need to be shut down while repairs are made. There is no estimate of damage.

Did anyone, keeping with our environmentally correct way of life, harness the heat from this fire? Or was it wasted to add to our polluting carbon dioxide problem?
That's what they do at Pacific. They manufacture pellets to burn. Maybe it was a test run?
