Prince George, BC.- Less than one week to go before the PGX opens in Prince George.
There are a couple of changes to this, the 97th edition of the annual fair.
First, the fair is one day longer, secondly, it is taking place in the 3rd week of August, not the second.
The fair starts Wednesday August 12 and runs thru to and including Sunday August 16th.

Expect lots of horses this year as there will be Team Penning and Draft Horse competitions.

A Bull-A-Rama on the Friday and Saturday evenings will take place in the Round Up Arena, and the axes return with the CANLOG Logger competition.

The fair will also bring its 4-H competitions and activities, sheep dog trials and top dog agility show, light horse competitions and other activities to showcase Agriculture, including an expanded Agriculture Alley, specifically designed to engage youth in agriculture.
Inside the Kin Centres, there will be the Home Arts & Horticulture division and an expanded Quilt Fair. There will also be a Tea Garden, Food Fair, Firefighters Challenge and a new addition to the celebrated and unique Heritage Lane.

All that, plus vendors, and the rides of the WestCoast Amusements.

Cue 'Duelling Banjos'
Admission $10.00 plus parking for what. After last years so called exhibition I will never be going to the PGX again. Big city prices for a small town fair. Cue the "duelling banjos" indeed
