Local Firefighter Gains Gold at World Police and Fire Games

Prince George, B.C.- Fred Slooyer of the North Capital Judo Club captured gold at the World Police & Fire Games in Burnaby.

The 51-year-old Prince Geroge fireman came first in the Grand Master 73 kg (kilos) division, defeating a 4th degree black belt Russian cop for top honors.   

Slooyer recently earned his brown belt.
