V.

Always check if it is plugged in and switched on!

Tapping usually doesn't work, but you can bang it against the wall...sometimes it will wake up.

:)-
I saw them all lined up at the PGX this morning to get free tickets or something.
WOW...9am and no complaints yet!
It's going to be a great day!
Enjoy!
No doubt jus cuz, it is going to be a great day. Enjoy the sunshine everone.
Well. Just to ruin your sunny day! It seems even American news services and blog sites are wondering about Harper. Actual headline[Steven Harper consistently embarrasses Canada since 2006]. They go on to mention all the Canadians stranded abroad being totured and imprisoned with no help from the Canadian Gov't in power. It seems to these sites that if you are not W.A.S.P. then you are not as much a Canadian as Harper thus not worthy of his concern.
Pity! Only in Canada you say!
I don't really like any of the people in Ottawa. I envy the States at least they voted in a cool dude for once. I guess no matter what Obama does it was a positive thing to vote him in. I mean unless the guy does something terrible it's a safe bet he will be remembered as one of the best that went to the Oval office. To me voting him in was a great thing for the world at large. I do hope we do the same in the next few years as well. I think we need a vision. Something that says yeah I like this person rather then just getting sick every time the person is on TV and we want to put our foot through the display.
Chris...much too early to suggest that Obama could be considered the 'best'. His popularity seems to be already decreasing.
You have got to be kidding! He already did something terrible by letting the money printing presses go way to long.
So far all Obama has done was be a minority that got elected. He hasnt done anything else of note. To consider him accomplished at this point seems ridiculous to me.
Here we go again.
Obama is a charismatic person who, so far, has shown no clout. All I am seeing is another bureaucrat, which is actually where he came from. Hard to break one's roots.

It will be interesting to see how he will continue to deal with the healthcare system. So far he has let the thing get away on him in my mind.

Cuba .... little bit of movement .. probably best to go slow there.

Guantanamo ... I thought he could move faster on that one.

Then there is this ... the unleashing of the religious and political right ...

Wrong time to move on healthcare in the USA and wrong time to move on HST in BC. Sometimes politicians are really not that astute.
I would just like to say that I am tired of Barrack Obama being labeled as a
'black man' correct me if I am wrong, but isn't he one half white? I have heard all sorts of statements about how great it is that 'a black man' rose to the presidency, and frankly, it is sickening to me. Black, White, or what ever, we are all relatively equal, or should be. The man or women who attains the rank of Potus* is the one who had the best campaign, and that means the most money to spend. You ain't gonna see no poor white trash becoming president. *President of the u.s.
Chrisdowntown your problems with the street population would be the same anywhere else, but with different races. If you lived in downtown D.C. you would probably be interacting with blacks, East L.A. it would be Latinos. You can't blame Indians.
And I for sure do not have the answers as to how to curb street crime, unless someone wants to talk about our lack of a justice system. Hey heres another cheerful thought; pretty soon we can sit around and discuss our lack of a health care system too, oh joy.
metalman.
Groups wonder what kind of group? Who to see and talk too. R.C.M.P thats like spitting in the wind. I am open to ideas folks believe me. Without posting where I live down here I can bet you guys to figure it out by now. I'm not to hard to find. Get a hold of me. Dang to bad we can't PM each other on this site.
Another thing--why is it our problem? They're not 'our people'. They belong to 'first nations' so my attitude is: shouldn't it be up to the 'first nations' to clean them up and get them off the street??
If Obama gets cap and trade passed he will destroy the U.S. It will cast the states trillions all based on bad self serveing science.
How come motorcycles are allowed to be so noisy? Is the noise in relation to physical deficiency
If you guys want to meet we can meet at Tim Hortons downtown or the Library or something like that. Please let me know.
Methinks little "First Nations" kiddies are brainwashed by their elders into thinking they are second class citizens. Once the little kids reach the age of seven, their attitude is set in stone. They become another generation of victims. Convince me otherwise.
I wouldnt be too concerned what the US News Media said about Harper, or anything else. It survives on the theory that BS baffles brains, and in the US this is quite true.

I suppose that some people think that everytime someone somewhere gets into trouble Harper should drop everything and look after them. Being the Prime Minister is a big job, and a lot of these problems should be handled by Cabinet Ministers, Deputy Cabinets Ministers, etc; etc;

Dont foreget we got all 60,000 dual Canadians out of Lebanon in the last crises, and within 6 Months 20,000 of them had gone back.

Each case has to be handled on its own merits, and of course some of them are going to get screwed up, and of course the Canadian Government is going to get some flack, that the way it is.

The fact of the matter is Harper is probably the best Prime Minister that we have had for many years. Even with the minority Government he seems to be doing a good job. Hopefully Canadian will have enough intelligence to re-elect him with a majority Government. The alternative is pretty scary.

Mike Ignatieff the modern day Don Quixote, charging and tilting at Wind Mills on the prairies. Still trying to learn how to spell Canadian. Long time resident of the US, and states that if we dont elect him Prime Minister he will return to the US. Good riddence.

Jack Layton (The talking Mustache) This guy is a political opportunist, who would love to be Prime Minister so he can travel around the World full of pomp and circumstance.

Giles Duceppe; Whats his reason for being. He'll never form the Government, and really has no business being there. The Bloc should change their name and become part of the Canadian mainstream. Being a separtist in this day and age, is outmoded.

Thats your choices. Pretty slim pickings by anyones account.

well did you know that BC and Alberta used to want to seperate and go to the US and make it 52 states?? that has pretty much just gone away!
