Vanderhoof Blaze Sends Four To Hospital

Vanderhoof, B.C. – A fire just west of Vanderhoof yesterday sent four workers to hospital with smoke inhalation.

The blaze, at a Canfor sawmill, started just before noon and was extinguished by firefighters by about 3 p.m. Thursday.

The other employees of the mill were evacuated successfully.

The four affected by smoke were treated at St. John’s Hospital in Vanderhoof.

There is currently no word on the cause of the fire.

Scary, to see another Mill on fire
Will this one be rebuilt, last Canfor one was not. Now assuming there is major damage and with so many of their mills down I bet they will take the insurance money and run with it again.
Very little down time apparently. Will be back in production within a few days. Good news.
