Fort St. John, B.C.- Dozens of families forced from their homes in the Peace Country Trailer Park in Ft. St.John last night, have been allowed to return to their homes.
The evacuation was the result of a massive fire Sunday night at the Rosenau Transport- Unified Valve shop next door that broke out about 7:30 Sunday night..
There were more than a hundred containers of fuel and chemicals being stored on the premises, and throughout the night, the drums of flammables exploded sending fireballs into the air.
Some of the mobile homes in the Peace Country Trailer Park suffered heat and smoke damage, but its too early to say what the total damage estimate may be.
While the Rosenau Transport and Unified Valve building was destroyed, there were no injuries reported. The cause of the fire has not been determined.
