Single Vehicle Accident Claims One Life

Fraser Fort George Traffic Services is releasing information this evening about a fatal single vehicle roll-over that occurred this morning on East Beaverly Road.

R.C.M.P. say the crash occurred on a straight stretch of the road around 9am this morning.  A westbound pick-up truck lost control, hit the ditch and rolled, coming to rest on its roof.

Police say the driver and lone occupant, a middle-aged Prince George man, was not wearing his seatbelt and was thrown from the vehicle.  He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Speed is being considered as a contributing factor in the crash, but Traffic Services and the Coroner's Service are continuing to investigate.  The victim's identity is not being released pending notification of next of kin.
