The final details are still being hashed out, but the Liberal Party of Canada hopes to release the name of the individual who will represent the party in Cariboo-Prince George tomorrow...

Riding Association President, Dave Wilbur, says they have a name and have tentatively scheduled a news conference for tomorrow morning at 9am outside the Prince George Playhouse at the intersection of Highways 97 and 16.  But he says he'll send out a final confirmation sometime this evening or overnight.

Wilbur says the party went into an expedited nomination process when the writ was dropped and had hoped to announce the candidate on Wednesday, but delayed til the weekend.

In the last federal election, Gurbux Saini ran for the Liberals and finished third with 8,397 votes.  Conservative MP Dick Harris won his 4th term with 19,721 ballots cast his way and the NDP's Rick Smith was second with 11,183.

Voters go to the polls on January 23rd.
