Prince George, B.C.- It’s out, and predicts a winter for Prince George that will have cooler than average temperatures and lots of snow.

The Old Farmers Almanac hits the magazine racks this week and says when it comes to winter in this region, “Winter temperatures will be below normal, with much above normal snowfall.”
It predicts April and May of2010 will be drier than normal and slightly cooler than we would like while the summer of2010 will be warmer and drier than normal.
How accurate is the Old Farmer’s Almanac when it comes to weather? Last year, it correctly predicted above normal snowfall in the interior of B.C. and temperatures that would be above normal. But snowfall was also above normal in coastal B.C. where it predicted below normal snowfall.
The local forecast can be accessed at www.Almanac.com/LongeRangeWeather
