Prince George, B.C.- Another court appearance today for the lawyer representing Lloyd William Cook. Cook is charged in connection with the death of 13 year old Adam William in January of 2000.
The boy’s death was not reported to police until 2004. Adam’s remains were found in a wooded area along North Nechako Road.
50 year old Lloyd William Cook was arrested and charged in June of this year.
Cook’s lawyer is pressing to have a date for trial set, however, it is estimated the trial will be lengthy.
It is possible a date in February could be set to start the trial, which would then be expected to adjourn to a later date for continuation.
A decision is not expected until later today.

Rest in peace Adam William
Taking this long to get to trial for anything is just the perfect example of a justice system that is finished the decay process and should be buried.
It hasn't gone to trial so don't blame the justice system. How about the fact that the RCMP has been in charge of this case? How has it gone for the victims? The accused has been out on bail, not even reported for years. I am so sorry for the family of Adam William. Where will thier trial end.
is the evidence there if so trial should be now. Crime was so long ago that the evidence is proably circumstancial which is proably why it is taking so long to go to trial.
