Bella Bella, B.C. - The search for a Williams Lake man, who has been missing since going diving in the Kwatna Inlet September 13th, has produced no results.
The 45 year old recreational diver from Williams Lake was reported missing on September 13th. That’s when the search for him was launched. The search involved the Canadian Coast Guard on September 13th & 14th, the RCMP North Coast Marine Service, and the RCMP Underwater Recovery Team.
The RCMP's Underwater Recovery Team has completed three grid searches of Kwatna Inlet to a maximum depth of 130 feet.
Searchers are confident that every square metre of the inlet was searched.
The missing person's immediate family has been updated throughout the search and are aware that there are no further searches planned by the RCMP Underwater Recovery Team at this time.
This is still an active and open missing person investigation. All tips and evidence will be investigated to the fullest.
