Prince George, B.C. – City of Prince George Councillor Brian Skakun’s first appearance on a charge of breaching the Freedom of Information and Protection  of Privacy Act was brief.

Skakun sat quietly as his lawyer requested the matter be put over.

Lawyer Jon Duncan also requested that the Crown more information on its case to the defence.

The matter will now return to the Courtroom on November 24th   for arraignment.

The charge stems from the unauthorized released of a confidential consultant’s report on the potential of a conflict of interest for two City employees who were romantically involved. The report was leaked to the CBC which posted the entire document on its website for a short period of time. The report contained personal and private information about the said employees.

The more money Counsillman Skakun gathers in his defence fund the more witnesses can be ordered to testify in this much larger corruption case. If you want to find out what really has been happening in our city halls, this is your best bet to expose where your tax dollars have been going. Consider it an investment into political honesty.
I thought when something is "before the courts" it could not be commented on? I now believe that some cases are selective depending on whose ox is being gored, I guess.
thats what you get for trying to ban hockey galdiators a few years back hahaha
Huh? If you want access to the entire CORNET (Corrections; Solicitor General) database, you need only employ an ex-cop with connections. Concealment and privacy are for elites alone. The other 99% are an open book.
