Prince George, B.C.- The first Early Bird prize in the Spruce Kings Show Home Lottery has been awarded to a McBride woman.

Ticket number 886 was purchased by Linda Kelly at Canadian Tire and was drawn on Sunday night at 8:00pm out of the Show Home Lottery draw barrel at the house in the Aberdeen Glen Subdivision.

The first early bird prize was a Vancouver Canucks Get-Away for two from Japatedon Travel & Cruises in Prince George. The prize package features a departure from Prince George, accommodations in Vancouver and tickets to an upcoming Canucks game at General Motors Place. There are a total of ten
early bird prizes leading up to the grand prize of a quality built Show Home by Ebb Construction valued at $376,000 on February 14, 2010.

"There is a great demand for tickets this year and that is resulting in an unbelievable start for ticket sales," said Spruce Kings Show Home Lottery manager, Jim Young. "Last year tickets were sold out three weeks before the grand prize draw date and this year the pace is challenging that start and may sell out even earlier."

The next early bird prize draw will be on Sunday November 22, 2009 for a set of four season tickets to the Prince George Spruce Kings 2010-11 British Columbia Hockey League season.
