It will be a time of giving tonight, as the Prince George Cougars host their annual "Teddy Bear Toss" at the CN Centre...

Fans attending this evening's game against the Kamloops Blazers are being encouraged to bring a stuffed toy to toss after the Cats score their first goal of the game.

For those sitting behind the newly-installed safety nets, the Cougars organization says they'll be able to toss too, as local fire fighters will be in the rafters ready to raise the nets when that goal light goes off.

All of the stuffed teddies and toys collected will go to benefit the Salvation Army and RCMP's Victim Services Unit.  The Cougars are also holding a food and unwrapped gift drive tonight with donations will be accepted in the concourse.

By the way, the Cats earned a 3-0 win over the Blazers in game one of their weekend series last night, with netminder Real Cyr earning his second straight shut-out against the team.
