Constable Dan Schenkeveld holds the sawed off  Browning 12 gauge shotgun seized in the search of a home  following  the discovery of 18 pounds of marijuana in a northbound SUV.

Prince George, B.C.-  RCMP  were  displaying the goods seized from an SUV last night, and a home in a subsequent  search.

Bags of marijuana (a full 18 pounds or 8.18kgs of  it)  worth about $50,000 on the street, along with a machete were seized from a  north bound  vehicle heading into Bear Lake.  A subsequent search was conducted on the home of one of the men in the vehicle.  The search of the home in the 200 block of Explorer Crescent resulted in the  seizure of  a sawed off shotgun, a spring loaded knife,  ammunition and some substances police are having tested because they believe they may be illegal drugs.

Charges are pending against two men, one aged 32, the other 26.

It seems to me the RCMP have been working very hard at combatting organized crime in the north. Not a week goes by that we don't hear of another bust. I say thank you and keep up the great work!
Pot, the killer drug. Legalise it and remove the criminal portion.
