Local pawn shops have most likely already sold them.
If they catch the scumbag thieves, I hope that they are sentenced to probation at least.
metalman.
I had a similar incident a few years ago, an item worth about $400 was stolen from my garage, I had receipts with serial number, it was about 3 months old.

I walked the pawn shops the next day, I found it. I reported it to the police, they came to the pawn shop, by time they got there the pawn shop claimed it had been sold. They gave the name of the person who dropped it off to the police. They told me they could do nothing, maybe charge him with possession if he admitted he had it at one point. They told me to drop it, nothing was going to happen. Nothing said the name left was the name of the thief.
Not an uncommon story Stompin Tom!
You would think there would be a better way to police these pawn shops!
The people running these places have to know that much of the stuff they buy is stolen?
Get rid of the pawn shops.
There are pawn shops in this town who take orders on items. Give them 48 hours and you will have what you desire.
Whatever happened with the bylaw about the pawn shops having to hold items for thirty days before selling? Did that go through or is it just ignored? I havent heard anything lately.
