Draw 11 Road To The Roar

Men:

Number one-seeded Jeff Stoughton of Winnipeg defeats Pat Simmons of Davidson, Saskatchewan, 8-7 in the men’s A final of the Road to the Roar, presented by Monsanto, to advance to the Tim Hortons Roar of the Rings Canadian Curling Trials, December 6-13 in Edmonton.  

Simmons drops down to the B side semi-final of the triple knockout to face Wayne Middaugh of Toronto at 8:30 am PT Friday morning.  The other B semi-final at 8:30 am PT features Winnipeg's Mike McEwen against Edmonton's Ted Appelman.  

The winners then advance to the B final, which will be televised live on TSN Friday at 6:30 pm PT/9:30 pm ET, with the winner also advancing to Edmonton.

Women:

Earlier in the day, Crystal Webster of Calgary defeated Kelly Scott of Kelowna, 9-7 to win the women’s A final of the Road to the Roar, presented by Monsanto, in Prince George, BC.

Webster advances to the Tim Hortons Roar of the Rings Canadian Curling Trials, December 6-13 in Edmonton.  

Scott dropped down to the B side semi-final of the triple knockout, faced Marie-France Larouche of St-Romuald, Quebec tonight and won 8-2, to advance to Friday's B final at 1:00 pm PT/4:00 pm ET, live on TSN.

Scott will play Krista McCarville of Thunder Bay in the B final, after McCarville defeated Amber Holland of Kronau, SK, 6-3 in the evening draw.

but great to see the curling here.
