Krista McCarville of Thunder Bay defeated Kelly Scott of Kelowna, 6-3, in the women's B final to advance to the Tim Hortons Roar of the Rings Canadian Curling Trials, December 6-13 in Edmonton.
Scott now drops to one of two C finals Saturday at 11:30 am PT/2:30 pm ET against Sherry Middaugh of Coldwater, Ontario, live on TSN.
Amber Holland of Kronau, Saskatchewan has advanced to the second women's C final, Saturday at 6:30 pm PT, to play the winner of Friday evening's game between Rachel Homan of Ottawa and Marie-France Larouche of St-Romuald, Quebec.
Women's A final winner - Crystal Webster, Calgary
Women's B final winner - Krista McCarville, Thunder Bay
Men:
Mike McEwen of Winnipeg and Pat Simmons of Davidson, SK, will meet in the men's B final tonight at 6:30 pm PT/9:30 pm ET, live on TSN, with the winner advancing to the Tim Hortons Roar of the Rings Canadian Curling Trials, December 6-13 in Edmonton.
McEwen defeated Ted Appelman of Edmonton, 7-4 while Simmons edged Wayne Middaugh of Toronto, 7-6, in an extra end in B semi-finals Friday morning.
Men's A final winner - Jeff Stoughton, Winnipeg
