Gee right in front of the "heritage" building.
I guess if the PG hotel had already been torn down, the story would have read: "the stabbing of a 43 year old man accross from the Ramada Hotel at 2.00am".

Hey Junco. If this were Los Angles, it could look like the picture linked below.

Count your blessings.

Once donwtown buildings are torn down and new building put up like the courthouse, BB music, Ramada, etc. The stabbings will still happen.

Location, location, location......

It will still be "downtown", the place to hang out.
The more people with money that will return to the downtown, the more people who need to live off of those people, whether hookers or panhandlers, will locate there.

The police have not been doing their work now. So, will the police do their work then?

In cities with lax vagrancy laws, or lax enforcement of those laws, there are lots of panhandlers downtown and hookers at night.
hey at least it wasnt a shooting.
No vagrancy laws anymore. Trudeau said it wasn't against the law to be poor. Go figure.
I remember my dad telling me that if you were caught with less than ten bucks on you, you were considered a bum and they had the right to throw you in the clink. This would be fifty years ago.... so I guess if your not packing a hundred bucks, you could be a bum.
Paper money? I've heard tell of such stuff but it's been a while since I've actually seen or touched it, LOL.
